A 2D Platformer MVP created by a team of 5, almost all assets are created by team members, excluding music and fonts.

Design

Brief Based

The design of the game was created based on a team discussion and collective ideas on what we wanted to create, the focus of the design was using death to progress which in turn created ability to become a ghost and use ghost only features.

Timeframe

Limited

A clear timeframe was set for the the entirety of the coursework starting with creating the idea of the game, documentation, creating a construct3 MVP and finaly making the unity version of the MVP.

Skills

Improved / gained

I have learned many concepts relating to Unity, applied knowledge of C#, gained a deeper understanding of teamwork within the games industry, especially the use of github and ensuring changes to not result in issues to others.

Insight into creating various mechanics and ensuring the functionality of the game as a whole.

About The Game

The game is a simple 2D platformer with a concept of death not being the end, the player continues to platform as a ghost gaining items such as keys while collecting information about the level.

Enemies

The enemies mostly consist of a dangerous enviroment such as spikes, lava, and loss of progress by falling to a previous part of the level.

There is a simple patrol enemy that travels and hidners the player however it does not directly chase the player.

Levels

Items

The levels of the game ramp up in difficulty and size to accomodate the players skill level, starting with the basics of the basics and slowly introducing more difficult areas.

The game contains some basic items, mainly keys and health packs, keys unlock doors while health packs restore the health of the player.
